Jud Guest: NPFDA Member of the Year

The 2025 NPFDA member of the year has been a supporter of the association for over 25 years.  In that time, he never hesitated to pitch in and volunteer wherever help was needed.  He consistently promoted NPFDA, attended numerous events, and served on committees for many years.  It should come as no surprise that the 2025 NPFDA Member of the Year is Judson Guest, LAD Truck Lines.

Jud has been a big part of NPFDA’s success, serving as Chair of the Board of Directors and as a director for several years. He co-chaired the 2025 Scholarship Selection Committee and is instrumental in its growth and expansion to serve more students.

Jud supports several community organizations including: The Athens First United Methodist Church, The Touchdown Club of Athens, and The Oconee Warrior Club. He founded a support group for men with heart-related conditions known as the Heart Throb Group.

Along with a busy work career, Jud has stayed active with his family - wife, Paula, their two daughters, their husbands and three grandchildren. Paula noted that their years of involvement with NPFDA has fostered longstanding relationships and beneficial partnerships.

Chan Windham, 2025’s Board Chair, said, “Jud is truly deserving of recognition as this year’s NPFDA Member of the Year.  He has brought a high level of professionalism to the association.  Jud is a true industry pro, and his many years of generous efforts have made NPFDA the strong organization it is today.”
