NPFDA's Code of Ethics

NPFDA’s Mission is to promote the Protein and Food Distributors, Processors, and Allied industries by bringing them together and providing forums to foster long-term business relationships.

NPFDA provides networking opportunities where members can exchange ideas and discuss challenges and opportunities facing the protein and food industries.

NPFDA’s Ethical Principles

Our ethical principles represent the shared values that are the foundation for all that we do in the protein and related industries. These ethical principles are:

  • Treat all individuals with DIGNITY and RESPECT.
  • Act with the highest level of HONESTY and INTEGRITY.
  • Create and foster an environment of FAIRNESS.
  • Promote positive LEADERSHIP and lead by example.
  • Maintain LOYALTY to the company that employs me and pursue its objectives in ways that are consistent with the public interest.

NPFDA’s Guidelines

In working to maintain the highest standards of ethical conduct, I pledge to:

  • Serve all employees of my company impartially and provide no inappropriate privilege to any individual person.
  • Refuse to engage in, or countenance, activities for personal gain that may conflict with the interests of my company or its industry or profession.
  • Refuse to engage in, or tolerate, racial, sexual, age, ethnic or religious discrimination in any aspect of my employment.
  • Cooperate in a spirit of collegiality with other NPFDA members, and work with them in the advancement of the profession of the protein and related industries.
