Atlanta and International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) Solidify Decades-Long Bond with Eight-
International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE), the world’s largest annual poultry and egg, meat and animal food industry event of its kind, has committed to stay in Atlanta through 2036. This milestone agreement marks a significant extension of the partnership between the convention and the city, ensuring that Atlanta remains home for this global industry event for another eight years.
This announcement was made during a special signing day at U.S. Poultry & Egg Association’s headquarters in Atlanta. The event featured executive leadership from the association alongside officials from Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB).
“U.S. Poultry & Egg Association has been a true champion of Atlanta for years, and its partnership with the American Feed Industry Association and the Meat Institute has only increased IPPE’s value and impact on our community,” said Charlene Lopez, executive vice president and chief sales officer, Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB). “We’re thrilled they’ve chosen to call Atlanta home through 2036, and we look forward to building on this relationship for years to come.”
IPPE is a landmark event for Atlanta’s hospitality community, as the event has been in the city since it began in 1948 as a small convention of 200 attendees at Ansley Hotel. It is also the longest standing event at Georgia World Congress Center, as it was the first convention the building hosted in 1977 after opening its doors the year prior. The IPPE has since grown and now welcomes more than 32,500 participants each year, including attendees from more than 115 countries.
“The city of Atlanta has hosted our International Poultry Expo for 78 years. Since we have partnered with the American Feed Industry Association in 2007 and the Meat Institute in 2013, the integrated IPPE has become one of the largest annual business trade shows in the city and a top 25 in the United States,” remarked Nath Morris, president, USPOULTRY. “Today, we signed a letter of intent with ACVB to host our trade show in Atlanta through 2036. We look forward to the new developments in and around the Congress Center campus to provide our exhibitors and attendees with more hotel, dining and entertainment options and to enhance the reputation of Atlanta being a “great place to do business.” We appreciate the partnership with ACVB, Georgia World Congress Center and the hotel and dining communities and want to continue calling Atlanta our home.”
The next IPPE will take place Jan. 26-28, 2027, in Atlanta.
