Chicken foodservice growth fueled by limited time offers

Chicken Big MacThe number of core items sold in foodservice dipped during the COVID-19 global pandemic, but have recovered in years since, however the number of limited time offers (LTOs) is up 33% in the past year and with even larger growth of 131% over the past five years.

“LTO growth is surpassing core item growth,” explained Katie Belflower, manager, Menu Research and Insights team, Technomic,  at the 2025 Chicken Marketing Summit.
