Don’t put KFC in the penalty box for cussing in campaign

It seems there are two KFCs that are popular in Canada.
One of them is the quick service restaurant formerly known as Kentucky Fried Chicken. The other is a professional hockey player for the Winnipeg Jets.
Then I got a press release with the headline that identified Kyle Connor (aka “KFC”). The subhead read “Two KFCs. One craveable meal: KFC x KFC launches nationwide.”
I don’t really follow professional hockey, so I wasn’t sure what the F was in reference to Connor. I simply figured his middle name was something like Franklin or Frederick. Maybe it is, but that’s not what the chain had in mind.
As I read further down, I saw that KFC Canada introduced the “Kyle F#*@in’ Connor Meal.”
Ah. Got it.
Come to find out, Jets fans cheekily started referring to him by both the aforementioned name and the abbreviated “KFC.” They even dubbed his goals, “finger lickin’ good,” a phrase that has been long associated with the chain.
According to the press release, the new meal that carries Connor's name features an all-star lineup of finger-lickin’ goodies in one craveable meal: KFC’s Famous Chicken Sandwich, two wings, fries and a drink, all in a custom-designed box.
