WASHINGTON — The North American Meat Institute (NAMI) announced on April 17 that Kelsey Carlson would work as the association’s strategic content and programming director.

Carlson will develop education and training for NAMI members and other stakeholders through live and digital channels. She will also work on implementing the Protein PACT initiative. Prior to working with the Meat Institute, Carlson served as a senior food scientist in the research and development group for Tyson Foods Inc.

“Kelsey’s experience at Tyson Foods and her Meat Science degrees make her the perfect person to help members with their journey of continuous improvement as part of the Protein PACT,” said Julie Anna Potts, president and chief executive officer for the Meat Institute. “She knows the industry inside and out and members can expect the same high quality and leading programming at our events and online.”
