SMART Broiler program advances welfare monitoring systems

Three welfare monitoring systems advanced to phase two of the Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research (FFAR) Sensors, Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technologies (SMART) Broiler program, explained FFAR Scientific Program Officer Nikki Dutta at the 2025 Chicken Marketing Summit.
The three technologies were developed by Oxford University, Queen’s University Belfast and artificial intelligence (AI) company AudioT.
