War in Ukraine will affect chicken consumption

The impact of the volatility caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine could have repercussions for U.S. chicken consumers.

“We’re plowing headlong into a highly inflationary environment. As part of that, there will be people who prioritize affordability,” explained Mark Jordan, executive director of LEAP Market Analytics.

“I think chicken is going to be a protein that’s got a lot of opportunity in the next 12 to 18 months.”
